Conditions of Registration

Registration

The signed registration form is a binding agreement. Together with the registration a deposit of EURO 100,-- must be paid, only for evening courses a deposit of EURO 50,--.

For agency and company bookings different agreements are valid. The course confirmation for a visa application is due to a deposit of 200 EURO per course for each month booked. The written booking confirmation will be provided upon payment of the deposit. Should the visa application be refused the deposit will be refunded except the registration fee of EURO 100,--. .

Length of Contract:

For open group courses the contract between FOKUS and the customer is valid for 4 weeks, unless otherwise agreed.

Books: Are not included in the course fees and have to be paid separately.

Cancellation : In the case of course cancellations at short notice (4 days or fewer prior to course commencement) the entire course fee has to be paid. Course cancellations at least 4 days prior to course commencement will be subject to a cancellation fee of EURO 200,--.

In case of insufficient registrations or the course does not go ahead in the planned form for a different reason, the registration fees will be refunded. Additional expenses that the customer has incurred, e. g. travel bookings etc., will not be reimbursed.

FOKUS may offer an alternative course, but the customer is not obliged to accept it. In the case of the customer withdrawing from a course which is going ahead as planned, the course fees are non-refundable.

Cancellation, reduction of lessons, postponement

In the case of cancellation of lessons, for reasons FOKUS is not responsible, no refund will be paid.

1. German intensive courses : will be started with 5 participants. In case of less than 5 participants the school is permitted to cancel or reduce the lessons as follows: 4 participants 60 lessons/3 participants 45 lessons.

2. Evening courses : will start with 3 participants. The school reserves the right to cancel the course in case less than 3 participants.

3. Company training : the school reserves the right to cancel the order in case of important changes of the contract parts.

4. Individual training : lessons can be postponed provided 24 hours notice is given, for tuition on Monday the notice must be given at latest on Friday until 12.00 p.m.

Changes to lesson times c an only be made with the agreement of the school management.

Payment of Course Fee

Group packages (package price) or courses with special conditions are due to entire payment in the moment of registration. Lessons must be taken within the agreed time schedule. For company and evening courses invoices are issued monthly. Fees must be paid net to the FOKUS office within 14 days after issue of the invoice. Any bank fees are charged to the customer.

Liability: FOKUS is not liable for loss of or damage to the personal property of customers or damages caused by the teacher . The participants must provide for themselves an adequate health, accident and third party insurance.

Accommodation: The charges for accommodation are payable prior to the commencement of the course. The customer is responsible for any damages at the accommodation premises.

Private Contracts with Teachers

The customer is not permitted to enter a private teaching contract with any teachers employed by FOKUS. Teachers employed by FOKUS have agreed not to enter a private contract with FOKUS customers for a period of 6 months following the end of their contract with FOKUS.

The court of jurisdiction of this contract is Munich , unless otherwise agreed and herein stated. General Conditions, March 2005
